Lauren Lim has always shown great interest in music and started exploring music when she was at a tender age. She received Distinction at her very first ABRSM piano performance examination at the age of 7. She started learning the violin at 7 years old and performed in Christmas Concert held at Genting Highland at the same year. She joined Clap & Tap Children Orchestra the next year, and was honored to perform to Malaysia former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad at the event ‘Malam Sejuta Kenangan’.
In 2019, Lauren joined the Selangor Symphony Youth Orchestra as an active member till 2021. Here, she participated in several events namely the Music Anime & Superheroes Concert together with the Chamber String Orchestra, Community Performance at the Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation Malaysia and various Christmas performances in Selangor and Ipoh.
Lauren is currently an active member in Musicians Linkage Philomusica Youth String Orchestra (PYSO) and Bentley Music Academy Symphony Orchestra (BMASO). She received numerous opportunities to perform at concerts and busking held throughout the year by Musicians Linkage. She also participated in BMA termly concerts, Romeo & Juliet (one of the collaboration with the KL Shakespeare Players), Maestro Minoru and Lum Wei Xuan Charity Show 2023, and Dawn of Hope Charity Concert by Pertubuhan Kabajikan Fajar Harapan.
Lauren was selected to showcase her violin skills at the ‘Majlis Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang Daerah Petaling Utama Tahun 2022’ held at her school, in the presence of our Minister of Education, YB Fadhlina Sidek. Besides being enthusiastic about her piano and violin, she is an active member in her school brass band and ukulele club. Recently, she has started learning another music instrument, the viola. Lauren is passionate in music and wishes to be able to participate in a diverse variety of performances in the near future.

2019 – Silver Award for Violin at Hong Kong International Music Festival 2019 Music Competition
